The rain lingered until just before noon, but Nataliya Hlushchuk and Miroslav Pospisek continued to lead the Ten Day race with 247 and 227 miles, respectively. Klaus Schulz continues to impress as he holds third place overall with 223 miles. Just as noon approached, the skies cleared, and 31runners started the Six Day event. Martin Wagen with 20 miles, and Dipali Cunningham, with 18 miles, are the early leaders after 3 hours of the race. Ten day event record holder Rimas Jakelaitis has joined the Six Day, only a few months after knee surgery.
