Nataliya Hlushchuk continued to lead the race overall with 297 miles, but her 20 mile gap narrowed to 14miles over Miroslav Pospisek(283 miles). Luis Rios from Brooklyn,NY led the day with 57 miles, climbing into third place overall with 278.

The weather has been threatening all afternoon and we've had a few little showers and there's a 50% chance of rain before clearing overnight says the weather forecast and there's a slight chance of rain tomorrow night and that should be it for the next week or so.

Day 1
Rimas Jakelaitis,50, from Brooklyn,NY led the way with 112 miles, four more than Bob Oberkehr from Northvale,NJ, as the rain stayed away for 24 hours. Dipali Cunningham from Melbourne,Australia led the women with 105 miles, 25 miles clear ahead of Kaneenika Janakova (80 miles) and Friederike Makowka of Switzerland(75 miles). The field of 31 runners was second largest in event history, topped only by 2001(40).
