Ashprihanal is exceeding most everyone’s expectations as the first two weeks came to a close, as he is averaging 72.6 miles per day, thanks to a sterling 75.18 miles today. His 1000 mile split was indicative of his dominance of the race so far (1000 miles = 13 days+13:32:40). Vladimir Glazkov, the ageless wonder, moved into second with a 69.14 mile effort. Event leader Ashprihanal Aalto continued to pour it on the rest of the field with a 72.44 mile day, replete with evening thunder showers. He should hit 1000 miles in the early evening on Saturday. Most of the rest continued the journey onward, enjoying the rain and cool temps all evening. Michael Peel cruised to day honors with a best of 63.66 miles. Michael looks very relaxed and smooth on the course, holding a solid fourth place position. Suprabha Beckjord had her fourth straight 61+ mile day, looking focused and cheerful as ever. The runners are fortunate that hot weather has not yet arrived in the area. Ashprihanal led the day honors with 73.53 miles, with Vladimir and Madhupran giving chase with 66.40 and 65.85 miles, respectively. the good weather seems to have added a few laps to everyone’s efforts. Arpan DeAngelo, a local resident, led the mileage honors for the day with 65.85 miles, moving into fifth position. Ashprihanal Aalto had his lowest output of the race-62.56 miles -but still increased his lead over second place to 45 miles. The pleasant temps and lower humidity allowed for good mileage and pain-free running for much of the group. Ultra legend Ted Corbitt visited the race and was beseiged by the good wishes of all the runners. It was a great 'photo-moment' to be next to Ted with the cameras clicking.	Matt Bolton of Australia.

Ashprihanal Aalto continued his relentless push at the front with 70.79 miles. He finished second for day total honors, however, to the elder statesman, Vladimir Glazkov,65, who ran 71.34 miles and has established himself firmly in third place. Virendra has shown signs of life the past two days, with flurries of hard running at six-minute lap pace (sub-ten minute mile) as all the runners are starting to get into shape for the long haul ahead.
