Rupantar has been the race director of the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team since 1985, having been asked by Sri Chinmoy to serve in that capacity. Medur is our go-to person for many of the essential tasks involved in putting on our races: race setup, our lap counting system and our website. An enthusiastic runner himself, he has participated in many editions of the Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run in Canada and the US.

ABOUT SRI CHINMOY:

From 1964 to 2007, spiritual teacher Sri Chinmoy participated in a number of athletic activities, among these marathon and ultramarathon running as a component of his philosophy of self-transcendence. In 1976, in close collaboration with his students, he founded the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team. Since then, the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team has organized marathons, ultramarathons, triathlons and shorter distance races in over 26 countries around the world.
