By Rupantar LaRusso author bio »
21 September

About the author:

Rupantar has been the race director of the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team since 1985, having been asked by Sri Chinmoy to serve in that capacity. As well as working on the big races the US Marathon Team organise each year - the 3100 Mile Race and the Six and 10 Day Race - he also spends a considerable amount of time archiving the Marathon Team's 40 year history on this website.

And here are the results:

Race Recap:
A sunny warm, almost hot day for the run as summer heat was holding on till the very end .  Everyone had a good day of running in the Park, with its variety of terrain, views, sun and shade.  The cool lake was enjoyed for a plunge before the post race yummy meal catered by our friends from Silence-Heart-Nest Restaurant.   That’s living!
We were happy to have our friend Usika join us at the last moment.  He was in Vancouver, BC on a business trip for Gandarva Loka Music Store and took a ride with our Canadian friends who came to help with the race.  Usika  and Andrew had a good time of it, finishing within a lap of each other…both set high mileage marks that transcended distance marks of the past two years.  Diana Robinson set a new mileage mark for the women.  It was s day of great effort, smiles and transcendence by everyone.
Congratulations runners!  The volunteers are thanking you over and over again as they had a great day out at the park with good food, company and pie as well.
Thank you and see you next year! ~ Daulot & Stota Fountain, Directors
