Ashprihanal Aalto,33, Helsinki, FIN
One of the best endurance runners in the world, Ashprihanal is ranked second alltime for 3100 miles (46 days 13 hours), has won the 700 mile race three times with a best of 9 days five hours, and has won the 3100 race two times(2000 and 2001). Ashprihanal has emerged victorious in the Six Day Race for the last two years as well, winning each race with supreme efforts on the last day. He has also hiked the Appalachian Trail and the Pacific Crest Trail in solo fashion, covering 60 km per day for up to twelve weeks. Ashprihanal works as a courier and delivery man back in Helsinki.

Tsvetan Tsekov,23, Sofia, BUL
Last year Tsvetan finished second in the Ten Day with 622 miles and completed 901 miles in the 1000. In 2002 he won the 700 mile race for the men in 11 days 18 hours.

Al Prawda,57, Brooklyn,NY USA
Ultra Al will be running and celebrating his 200th ultramarathon in this six day race. In a long and interesting racing career, Al has run over 500 miles for six days, over 224 miles for 48 hours( an indoor US best), and has even run 70 miles backwards.

Urs Maurer,49,Oberageri, SUI
Urs has run 28 ultras in 25 years of running He makes his debut at six days. He has a best of 208 km(129 miles) for 24 hours.

Uwe Postler,40, Innsbruck, AUT
Uwe will be running his first six day race.He has a best of 204 km(124 miles) for 48 hours.

Peter Zuidema,36, Utrecht, NETH
Peter has been running for 17 years. His bests include 207 km(128 miles ) for 24 hours, and 263 km( 161 miles) for 48 hours.

Felix Kainz,44, Berlin, GER
In only five years of running, Felix has run over 90 ultras, including 98 miles for 24 hours, and 560 km(346 miles) in seven days.

Dejan Kakonji,35 Subotica, Serb.Mont.
In five years of running, Dejan has completed three multidays, his best being 1000 km (622 miles) for 12 days in 2001.

Miroslav Pospisek,43, Prague, CZ
Miroslav has run 10 ultras in eight years of running. His best is 323 km(200 miles) for three days.

Dragan Stojanovic,32, Belgrade, Serb.Mont.
Dragan has run three ultras in four years of running. This will be his first attempt at six days.

Roman Dzierlatka,47, Bristol, CT USA
Roman has completed over 40 ultras, including four multidays in his 27 years of running. Last year he ran 255 miles in the Six Day.

Barny McBride,39, Auckland, NZ
Barney has run 32 ultras, including 340 miles for six days(2001) and 180 km(111 miles) for 24 hours.

Unnatishil Bravo, 46, Paris, FRA
Unnatishil has run 36 ultras in 24 years of running. his best includes 507 miles in the 2002 700 mile race.

Aryavan Lanham,52, Perth, AUS
In 20 years of running, Aryavan has completed five multidays. His best total is 430 miles for 12 days.

Peter Elliott,38, Melbourne, AUS
Peter will be making his multiday debut with this six day event. He has been running for three years.

Krastin Vasilev, 24, Sofia,BUL
Krastin will be running his first multiday race in 12 years of running.

Lucian Balmer,21, San Francisco,CA USA
Lucian is the youngest runner in the race, but has been training diligently for months.

Mario Komak, 29, Bratislava, SLK
Mario has completed two ultras but has no multiday experience.

Zoran Marinkovic,40, Leskovac, Serb.Mont.
Zoran has completed three ultras, with a best of 227 miles in six days.

Standa Zubaty,32, Zlin, CZ
Standa will experience the baptism of fire, as this will be his first ultra after a few years of marathons.

Janos Szeideman, 49, Pecs, HUN
Janos will also be running his first multiday after having run a few 12 hour ultras.

Women

Dipali Cunningham,45, AUS
Dipali is one of the world's best women ultra-distance runners. She has won 14 of the 17 multiday events she has entered since 1992, including three overall victories. In the spring of 2001 she set a new women's world record on the road for six days with 510 miles, defeating all the men in that race. In 2001 she ran 700 miles in 9 days 11 hours, the third fastest all-time for women. She has completed the 700 mile race eight times. In 1998 she set a women's world best on the road for six-days with 504 miles, despite heavy rains at Wards Island Park. In 1999 she won the 700 mile race overall in 10 days, 21 hours. She is ranked third in the world for 700 miles, and third for 1000 miles, having dominated the women's 1000 mile race in 1997 in 13 days, 20 hours. She has won all six Six-Day titles in our spring-time event. She also likes shorter, faster races as well, having dominated the Sri Chinmoy 47 Mile Invitational 17 times for the women.

Sigrid Eichner, 63, Berlin, GER
One of the most prolific ultrarunners, Sigrid has completed over 321 ultras, including over 200 100- km races, several multidays and even 44 stages of the Trans-Europe Race last summer( Lisbon to Moskow) running over 3000 km.She held an age group WR w-55 for 100 km in 1996-(9:27:29). She looks forward to the Six Day .

Lunthita Duthely,40, Hialeah, Fl, USA
Lunthitha will be attempting her second multiday. Last year she ran 253 miles for the six day. She has been running 13 years.

Elke Sobotta, 44, Hufingen,GER
In eleven years of running, Elke has completed three ultras, with a best of 57 miles for 12 hours.

Kushali Tarantsova,37, Kiev, UKR
Kushali will be making her first multiday race this year, after having run three ultras after ten years of running.

Magdalena Horbinger, 40,Vienna, AUT
After seven years of running, Magdalena will be attempting her first multiday. She has three ultras to her credit.

Danica Plechlova,28, Bratislava, SLK
Danica has been running seven years, and will be attempting her first multiday.

Srotaswiini Klandt, 64, Jamaica, NY GER
Aveteran of 25 years running, Srotaswini has run three multidays and several long relay runs. She has a best of 300 miles for six days in 1986. In 2002 she ran 227 miles in the Six Day race.
