Getting There

USE GOOGLE MAPS FOR NAVIGATION

Almost all of the streets within the park have no signage whatsoever.  We strongly recommend using Google maps as you are navigating to the parking lot, and within the park.  We do NOT recommend using other apps (such as Waze or Apple maps), as they do not recognize some of the roads inside the park, and can take you to the wrong part of the park on the wrong side of the expressway.  Flushing Meadows park is HUGE, larger than Central Park.

Public Transportation

The closest subway station is Mets-Willets Point on the number 7 subway line (view MTA subway map).

Use this link showing the walking route from the 7 train to Race-Day Central, while following along with the written directions below:

Exit the train and follow the signs to Flushing Meadows Corona Park. This will lead you across a bridge over train / bus yards. At the end of the bridge you'll go down a long ramp to David Dinkins Circle.  Make a slight left onto Ave. of Commerce.   Ave. of Commerce has three separate but parallel lanes, and will curve gently to the right as you continue along.  After 200 meters, pass the first intersection with Ave. of Progress.  After another 200 meters, you will pass the Pool of Industry (A.K.A. Fountain of the Planets) a little ways off to your left.  After another 200 meters, you will pass the second intersection of Ave. of Progress.  Race-Day Central will be just past this intersection on your left.  Total distance from subway is 0.7 miles / 15-minute walk.

Click here to open Race-Day Central on Google Maps, or type "Ave. of Commerce and Ave. of Progress, Queens, NY 11355" into Google maps

Driving

Near Race-Day Central, there is a series of seven small parking lots (free parking) underneath the elevated Van Wyck Expressway.  There is only one entrance here off of Meridian Rd. that leads to all of them.  Click the previous link, or type "Rodman Walk & Meridian Rd, Queens, NY 11355" into Google Maps to navigate there.

Once parked, it is a 300-meter walk to Race-Day Central.  Use this link showing the walking route from the parking lot to Race-Day Central, while following along with the written directions below:

From the parking lot entrance, cross Meridian Rd. and head straight into the park toward Pool of Industry (A.K.A. Fountain of the Planets).  After 80 meters, make your first left turn onto Ave. of Progress, a wide roadway with three separate lanes.  After another 150 meters, make next left at Ave. of Commerce.  Race-Day Central will be on your left, after 50 meters.

Alternately, you can click here to open Race-Day Central on Google Maps, or type "Ave. of Commerce and Ave. of Progress" into Google maps, but don't do this until you are already parked in the lot!
